Maintenance Technician Metalworking Machinery

Our client is an established Belgian family owned business specialising in the purchase, sale, refurbishment and installation of industrial metalworking machinery.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician  to join their technical team in Deinze.

You will work on a wide variety of industrial machines, ranging from conventional metalworking equipment to advanced CNC machinery.

Your responsibilities:

• Inspecting, maintaining, repairing and refurbishing industrial metalworking machines.
• Dismantling and assembling mechanical components and complete machines.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and technical problems.
• Working on conventional lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, grinding machines, sawing machines and CNC machines.
• Replacing and adjusting worn or damaged mechanical components.
• Performing mechanical modifications and machine overhauls.
• Testing machines and checking their functionality before delivery to customers.
• Assisting with machine installations and technical adjustments.
• Working independently and together with experienced colleagues.

  • Compensation as a qualified Maintenance Technician under Collective Bargaining Agreement 111.01— Metalworking Industry —based on your experience and technical knowledge
  • Gross salary of 19,22 euro/hour
  • 20 days of statutory leave per year based on a full-time five-day workweek and with full leave entitlement accrued
  • As a blue-collar worker, you receive a single and a double vacation allowance. The gross vacation allowance amounts to 15.38% of the gross salary for the previous reference year, calculated on 108% of the gross salary
  • Year-end bonus according to CP 111.01: if you have worked the entire reference year, you are entitled to a bonus corresponding to one month’s salary. If the year is incomplete, this bonus is calculated on a pro-rata basis based on the number of months worked
  • 10 statutory paid holidays in accordance with Belgian regulations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly or machinery repair in the metalworking industry
• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical technical skills.
• Experience working with industrial machinery, preferably metalworking machines.
• Ability to dismantle, repair and reassemble mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical systems is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Experience with conventional machines and CNC machinery is a requirement.
• Fluent command of English.
• Hands-on mentality and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and accurately.
• Willingness to learn and work on different types of machines.
• Driving licence B.
