CE Driver – Precast Concrete Transport

Our client is a large and well-established Belgian construction group, active in construction, infrastructure, civil engineering, technical services and its own production facilities.

For their transport department, we are looking for an experienced CE Driver – Precast Concrete Transport.

In this position, you will be responsible for safely transporting large and heavy precast concrete elements from the production site to construction sites throughout Belgium.

Your responsibilities:

• Drive a tractor unit with a wall trailer and/or a tractor unit with a flatbed trailer.
• Transport precast concrete walls, columns and roof slabs to construction sites.
• Depart mainly from the fixed location in Kluisbergen, Belgium.
• Deliver materials to construction sites throughout Flanders and other locations in Belgium.
• Check the truck, trailer and load before departure.
• Ensure that all loads are correctly and safely secured before transport.
• Use straps and other load-securing equipment correctly and safely.
• Take responsibility for the safe transportation of large, heavy and sometimes exceptional loads.
• Follow Belgian traffic regulations, driving and rest-time regulations and company safety procedures.
• Work safely on and around construction sites.
• Communicate with planners, site supervisors and installation teams during deliveries.
• Take good care of your assigned truck, trailer and equipment.
• Check the required transport and vehicle documents.
• Be flexible regarding working hours. Early starts and longer working days when required are part of the job.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: €15,22 gross + €1,81 net/ per hour
• Depending on the number of hours worked, overtime, applicable allowances and your individual tax situation, you can expect an average net monthly income of €2,800 - €3,200

Holiday Pay in Belgium

In Belgium, employees also build up entitlement to annual holiday pay in addition to their normal salary.
For blue-collar workers, the statutory gross holiday pay is calculated according to Belgian legislation and corresponds to 15.38% of the legally determined salary basis.
This includes both single and double holiday pay.
In practice, this means that you build up an additional annual payment for your statutory holidays based on your employment and earnings during the previous year.

End-of-Year Bonus

When working through a temporary employment contract and when the legal eligibility conditions are met, you also build up entitlement to an end-of-year bonus.
For temporary agency workers in Belgium, the gross end-of-year bonus amounts to 8.33% of the gross salary earned during the applicable reference period.
If you later move to direct employment with the company, the applicable sector and company conditions will apply.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced, responsible and safety-conscious professional CE driver.

• Minimum 5 years of proven professional experience as a CE truck driver.
• Extensive experience driving a tractor-trailer combination.
• Experience with construction transport, precast concrete transport, flatbed transport or exceptional transport is a strong advantage.
• Experience transporting long, heavy or oversized loads is highly valued.
• Good knowledge of load securing and the safe use of straps and securing systems.
• You hold a valid CE driving licence and are willing to complete all necessary procedures to work professionally as a truck driver in Belgium.
• You are willing to obtain or complete your Belgian Code 95 / Certificate of Professional Competence.
• You are willing to complete additional training, including load-securing training.
• Experience or certification related to exceptional transport is an advantage.
• A VCA Basic Safety Certificate is an advantage. If required, you must be willing to obtain it.
• You speak fluent English and can communicate professionally in English.
• You are motivated and willing to learn Dutch.
• You are responsible, punctual, careful and strongly focused on safety.
• You can work independently while maintaining good communication with planners, colleagues and site supervisors.
• You are flexible regarding working hours and understand that transport to construction sites often requires an early start.
