CNC MILLER

Our client is an established Belgian precision metalworking company, specialised in the production of custom-made mechanical components, transmission parts and complex precision work.

For their machining department, we are looking for an experienced CNC Miller who is able to work independently on technically challenging components. The work mainly consists of single pieces and custom-made parts rather than repetitive mass production. 

Your responsibilities include:

• Milling and machining mechanical components, including drilling, milling, boring and tapping
• Working with 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines
• Programming and setting the CNC machines independently
• Programming directly on the machine and/or working with CAM programming
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings independently
• Selecting, setting and managing the correct cutting tools
• Setting up the machine and determining the correct machining process
• Producing both smaller and larger precision components
• Working with materials such as construction steel, hardened steel, stainless steel and bronze alloys
• Measuring finished components and checking dimensions and tolerances
• Performing quality checks throughout the machining process
• Taking responsibility for your own project from setup to finished component 

Our offer

• Minimum salary: €19.2213 gross/hour
• Full-time Belgian employment with a Belgian employment contract

• You will join an experienced team of professional metalworkers in a stable and growing Belgian company 
• Holiday pay: as a Belgian blue-collar worker, you build up statutory holiday pay. The gross holiday pay is approximately 15.38% of the remuneration used for the statutory calculation and is normally paid separately through the Belgian holiday system. Holiday rights are built up based on work performed during the previous calendar year. 
• Year-end bonus: approximately the equivalent of one month of basic salary / ±8.33% on an annual basis, subject to the applicable sectoral or temporary-employment conditions and the period worked. For West Flanders under PC 111, the sectoral calculation corresponds to one monthly basic wage for a full reference period. 
• Single Permit support: candidates from outside the European Union are welcome to apply. We take care of the administrative preparation and follow-up of the Belgian Single Permit procedure and guide the candidate throughout the process, subject to approval by the Belgian authorities.

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled CNC professional who is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for high-quality precision work.

• Proven professional experience as a CNC Miller / CNC Milling Machine Operator
• Experience with 3-, 4- and/or 5-axis CNC milling
• Able to set up and program CNC machines independently
• Good knowledge of machining processes such as milling, drilling, boring and tapping
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and machining specifications
• Good knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds and machining parameters
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Able to work accurately with tight tolerances
• Quality-minded and technically skilled
• Able to work independently and solve machining problems
• Flexible and willing to work on different types of components and projects
• Good command of English to communicate safely and effectively at work
