Sheet metal worker

For our client in the DIKSMUIDE area, we are looking for a SHEET METAL WORKER.

Since 1957, the company has been a leading metalworking company serving Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Northern France.

As a PLATE WORKER in the DIKSMUIDE area, your responsibilities will include:

• You will be flexibly deployed within the sheet metal department according to the needs of the planning;
• You operate and set up machines for laser cutting, bending and rolling sheet metal;
• You prepare the necessary programs and machine settings and check that the machines are functioning correctly;
• You perform some basic administrative tasks, such as receiving incoming sheets, checking stock and entering the information into the system;
• You ensure the proper finishing of the parts, including deburring and quality control;
• You independently move sheets and finished parts using a forklift.

• Attractive salary between €17.12 and €20.65 per hour (= negotiable);

• You will start working day shifts (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM), giving you the opportunity to get to know our way of working, machines and colleagues;
• In the long term, you will switch to a 2-shift system (early and late shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM / 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM);
• In addition to the 20 statutory days of annual leave, you will receive 12 extra days of leave;
• Permanent contract after a positive evaluation.

What does our client in the DIKSMUIDE area expect from a new SHEET METAL WORKER colleague?

• You have experience in sheet metal processing and preferably have experience with several of the following techniques: laser cutting, bending, nesting and rolling;
• You have a valid forklift certificate;
• You can read technical drawings and work accurately;
• You speak Dutch or English;
• You have completed a technical education (A2 level), for example in mechanics or metalworking, or have equivalent experience.
