Must-haves for this job

We are looking for an experienced driver who enjoys being on the road, works independently and feels comfortable in a varied environment. Experience with a tipper is a strong asset, but the right attitude is at least as important.

• You can work 3 days per week
• You have a valid CE driving licence
• You have a valid driver card and code 95
• You have experience as a truck driver
• Experience with a tipper, earthworks or road construction is an advantage
• You can work independently and responsibly
• You are flexible when the schedule changes
• You have a good knowledge of traffic and safety regulations
• You work accurately when loading, unloading and positioning on the site
• You are willing to work at least 3 days per week
• You are physically able to carry out limited work around the truck
• You communicate smoothly with the planning department and colleagues
• You are reliable and keep the agreements made

Salary and extra-legal benefits

You will get a proper job in a stable company with clear planning and plenty of personal contact. There is room for a driver who wants to work on a permanent basis, but also for someone who is available a few days per week.

Your salary and benefits:

• Gross hourly wage according to the applicable transport wage scales
• Indicative wage from approximately € 15 - €16 gross per hour, depending on experience and correct classification
• Experience as a self-employed driver can be taken into account during the interview
• Correct remuneration according to your experience, driving licence and responsibilities
• Remuneration and conditions will be discussed further during the personal interview

Your workplace

You mainly work in the Ghent region and on sites within a radius of approximately 25 kilometres. You are part of a permanent team in which everyone takes responsibility and flexibly lends a hand where necessary.

• Base in the Evergem/Ghent region
• Travel mainly within approximately 25 km around Ghent
• Travel mainly within approximately 25 km around Ghent
• Working on road construction and earthworks sites
• Transport of:
  • Soil
  • Earth
  • Stone rubble
  • Demolition materials
  • Green waste
  • Other construction and recycling materials
• You work with a modern tipper truck
• Collaboration with drivers, machine operators and site managers
• Direct contact with the business owner and planning department
• A permanent, experienced team with a collegial atmosphere

A look at your daily tasks

As a CE driver or tipper truck driver, you ensure that raw materials and materials arrive safely and on time at the right construction site or location.

• You can work 3 days per week
• Driving a tipper truck
• Transporting soil, earth and construction materials
• Loading and unloading at construction sites and recycling points
• Delivering and collecting materials within the Ghent region
• Driving for road construction and earthworks projects
• Transporting recyclable materials and green waste
• Operating the tipper correctly
• Checking the load and the truck
• Complying with the safety regulations on the construction site
• Maintaining contact with the planning department and site management
• Ensuring the correct and safe execution of every trip
• Helping where necessary within the small, flexible team
