Experienced Schneider Okken Panel Builder

Our client is a leading Belgian specialist in the design, construction, maintenance and upgrading of electrical distribution boards and control panels. The company has more than 40 years of experience and works on technically advanced projects for industry, infrastructure, buildings and machine construction. 

For their production team in Belgium, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Panel Builder with strong hands-on experience with Schneider Electric Okken switchboards.

The main focus of this position is the assembly and construction of Okken low-voltage switchboards.

Your responsibilities:

• Build and assemble Schneider Electric Okken switchboards
• Assemble electrical distribution and control panels according to technical drawings
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics and assembly plans
• Install busbars, circuit breakers, electrical components and internal wiring
• Mount and connect electrical components accurately
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of the panels
• Check your work according to technical specifications and quality standards
• Work independently while cooperating with other panel builders and technicians
• Follow strict quality and safety procedures

The company works with several professional panel systems, but for this vacancy the main focus is Schneider Electric Okken.

Important: We are specifically looking for candidates who have actually worked with Schneider Electric Okken panels. General electrical panel-building experience without Okken experience will not be sufficient for this position.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced specialist who can become productive quickly.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an electrical panel builder / switchboard builder
• Proven hands-on experience with Schneider Electric Okken switchboards is required
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical distribution boards
• Able to independently assemble an Okken panel from a technical drawing or electrical plan
• Strong electrical diagram and plan-reading skills
• Good knowledge of electrical components, protection devices, busbars and switchgear
• Technical education in electricity, electromechanics or a related field
• Able to work accurately and independently
• Good understanding of electrical safety and quality standards
• Fluent English is required for communication at work
• Willing to learn Dutch after selection and during your employment in Belgium

Experience with Schneider Prisma, Siemens S8/S4, Logstrup or other professional switchboard systems is an advantage, but the priority is candidates with real Okken experience.
