CNC Bending and CNC Milling Operator

For our client, an established Belgian industrial subcontracting company in West Flanders, we are looking for an experienced Polyvalent CNC Bending & Milling Operator. Our client produces complex metal constructions and machine components in steel, stainless steel and aluminium for international industrial customers. In this position, you combine CNC bending and CNC milling. You work from technical drawings and are responsible for setting up, operating and adjusting machines in order to produce components according to the required dimensions and tolerances. 

Your responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, dimensions, angles and tolerances
•  Setting up and operating CNC bending machines 
• Determining the correct bending sequence 
• Selecting suitable tools and dies according to material thickness and required geometry
•  Checking bending angles and dimensions and making the necessary corrections 
• Preventing deformation, incorrect angles and dimensional deviations 
• Setting up and operating CNC milling machines 
• Loading or adjusting CNC programs
•  Setting workpiece zero points and tool offsets
• Selecting suitable milling tools and machining parameters
•  Clamping and positioning components correctly
• Performing dimensional checks using measuring equipment
•  Detecting and correcting deviations during production
•  Carrying out first-line troubleshooting 
• Working independently while respecting quality and safety procedures

Within the milling department, our client works with machines and controls including: 

• Haas VF-6/50HE 
• Haas UMC-1500-DUO 
• Haas EC-1600 HMC 
• Parpas ML100 – Heidenhain •
• Challenger – Fanuc 

Experience with every control is not required, but a strong technical CNC background and the ability to learn different machines is important.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced and technically versatile metalworker.

•  Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience 
• Professional experience with CNC bending and CNC milling 
• Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings 
• Able to independently set up and adjust machines 
• Knowledge of bending sequences, tooling and angle correction
•  Knowledge of CNC machining, tools, offsets, feeds and speeds
• Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc and/or Haas is an advantage
•  Experience with steel, stainless steel and/or aluminium 
• Able to work accurately according to tolerances 
• Experience with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and angle-measuring equipment
•  Strong technical insight and problem-solving skills
•  Flexible and willing to work on different machines and operations
• Very good English 
• Willing to learn Dutch 
• Willing to relocate to Belgium
