Must-haves for this job

As an ideal candidate for a formwork carpenter:

• You have experience as a formwork carpenter, experience with staircase formwork will be an additional plus
• You are able to read technical drawings.
• You are motivated, positive and eager to work.
• You work accurately and have an eye for quality.
• You know English or Dutch at a communicative level

Vacation days

• Statutory vacation days: you are entitled to vacation days in accordance with Belgian legislation, calculated based on your results in the previous year. This meansabout 20 days of annual leave, depending on working hours and results.
• Construction leave: in the construction sector there is traditionally a 3-week collective summer holiday in summer
• Christmas break: for Christmas you also have 2 weeks off.
• Compensatory rest days: in addition to statutory leave there are compensatory rest days, which are established at the level of the entire industry. On these days you do not work and you do not use vacation days, but compensatory rest days.

A look at your daily tasks

Your duties as a formwork carpenter will include:

• Setting up and inspecting formwork and reinforcement;
• Pouring and compacting concrete;
• Grinding and making concrete stairs.
• Reading and understanding technical plans.
• Finishing concrete stairs and elements.
