IT Infrastructure & Project Manager

Your new company

Hays is looking for an IT Infrastructure & Project Manager for an established company active in the publishing and distribution sector. Located in the Antwerp region, this organisation employs around 45 people and is known for its flat structure, short decision lines and hands-on culture. As part of a small internal IT team, you will have a direct impact on the business and work closely with management on both operational and strategic IT topics.

Your new role

As IT Infrastructure & Project Manager, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the organisation's IT environment while actively contributing to process improvements and digitalisation initiatives.

You will act as the link between employees, management, external suppliers and technology partners. Besides supporting users and following up operational IT topics, you will help optimise processes, support business applications and coordinate various improvement projects across the organisation.

Because of the company's size, this role offers a broad scope and significant autonomy. You will have direct exposure to management and the opportunity to make a visible impact on how the organisation operates.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting end users with hardware, software and application-related questions
• Acting as a visible point of contact for colleagues throughout the organisation
• Following up incidents, requests and operational challenges from start to finish
• Supporting business-critical applications and helping users work efficiently with them
• Assisting with the further adoption and support of the company's ERP environment (Odoo)
• Analysing operational processes and identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation
• Coordinating small to medium-sized projects related to digitalisation, process improvements and IT changes
• Acting as the bridge between business users, external IT partners and software suppliers
• Monitoring ongoing initiatives and ensuring agreed actions are completed
• Helping management translate business needs into practical solutions
• Supporting the further professionalisation and modernisation of the organisation
• Occasionally travelling to the Netherlands for training, projects or colleague support

Your profile

You are a broad-minded IT professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, business and operations.

You are not only interested in solving technical issues but also in understanding how a company operates and where processes can be improved. You feel comfortable working in a smaller organisation where flexibility, ownership and initiative are valued.

Ideally, you bring:

• Fluency in Dutch and a professional working knowledge of French
• Experience in IT Support, IT Coordination, Internal IT, IT Operations or a similar broad role
• Experience working with business users across different departments
• Affinity with process improvement, digitalisation or project coordination
• Experience working with ERP systems or business applications
• A good understanding of infrastructure, workplace technologies and IT operations
• Experience working with external suppliers and service providers
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to prioritise, follow up and take ownership of tasks
• A hands-on and pragmatic mindset
